HubSpot Video Editor: Now Available in Marketing Hub Pro and Enterprise

What This Update Actually Is

HubSpot's video editor was previously locked inside Content Hub. As of April 14, 2026, it's available to every Marketing Hub Professional and Enterprise customer.

The editor lets you do all of this without leaving HubSpot:

  • Trim video clips using a visual timeline or a transcript panel
  • Add trending TikTok audio tracks (when your TikTok account is connected)
  • Overlay images, slides, and text with timeline-based positioning
  • Crop and resize to Portrait (9:16), Landscape (16:9), or Square (1:1)
  • Add auto-generated captions and translate them into multiple languages
  • Apply brand logo and colors from your Brand Settings
  • Use Breeze AI to isolate voice audio and create multilanguage caption variants
  • Save design styles as reusable templates for future video posts

One important caveat: the multilanguage AI tool creates translated captions only. It does not dub or translate the spoken audio itself. Keep that in mind if you're targeting non-English audiences.

Why HubSpot Shipped This

Here's the workflow that was breaking marketing teams. A marketer records a video or pulls a clip, opens HubSpot's social composer to schedule a TikTok post, then realizes the clip needs trimming. They jump to CapCut or Descript. They edit there. They re-upload. They add a trending sound in TikTok's native app instead. They lose the context of what they were building.

That context-switching is expensive. It slows down timely content, which is exactly the wrong move on a platform where trending audio has a 24-to-48-hour window.

HubSpot shipped this to close that gap. Marketing Hub was already the home for social scheduling, analytics, and campaigns. It was missing the creation layer. Now it's not.

How to Use It Step by Step

There are two entry points into the editor. Pick the one that fits your workflow.

Entry point 1: From the Social Composer

  1. Go to Marketing > Social and create or open a post with a video attached.
  2. Click the pencil icon next to the video file to open the editor.

Entry point 2: From File Manager

  1. Navigate to your File Manager and find the video file you want to edit.
  2. Click Details on the file, then click Edit to open the editor.

Inside the editor:

  1. Set your aspect ratio first. Use the dropdown at the top left to choose Portrait (9:16 for TikTok/Reels), Landscape (16:9), or Square (1:1).
  2. Trim your clip. Use the Transcript panel to highlight and trim words or sections, or drag the timeline handles directly.
  3. Add overlays. Click the + icon in the left sidebar to add images, text, or slide overlays. Position them in the timeline or drag them in the video preview.
  4. Add audio. Select trending TikTok audio (requires a connected TikTok account) or upload your own. Use the drag handles in the timeline to trim or move the audio clip.
  5. Turn on captions. Open the Captions and Translations menu, toggle it on, and choose a preset or custom style. Drag the position selector to place captions where you want them.
  6. Apply branding. Click the Branding icon, toggle on, then upload your logo or pull it from Brand Settings. Size and position it over the video.
  7. Use Breeze AI (optional). Click the Breeze icon to run voice isolation or generate multilanguage caption variants.
  8. Save as a template if you want to reuse your design styles. Click Templates > Create New, name it, choose your styles, and save.
  9. Export. Click Export at the top. The file saves to your Files library and HubSpot emails you when it's ready.

What It Touches in Your HubSpot Strategy

This update isn't just a convenience feature. It changes the architecture of how social content gets produced inside HubSpot, and it has downstream effects worth thinking through.

Social workflow consolidation. If your team has been using HubSpot for scheduling but a separate tool for editing, you now have a reason to collapse those into one. Fewer tools mean fewer handoffs, fewer file version errors, and faster publishing cycles.

Brand consistency at scale. Pulling your logo and colors directly from Brand Settings means every video a team member exports follows the same visual identity. No more off-brand thumbnails or mismatched fonts on social.

File management hygiene. Every exported video lands in your Files library. That's both a benefit and a thing to manage. We recommend naming conventions and folder structure before your team starts exporting at volume.

Key Takeaway

If your team is already using Marketing Hub for social scheduling, adding the video editor to that workflow is a zero-migration win. The context stays in one place and the publish speed goes up.

Breeze AI integration. The voice isolation and multilanguage caption tools connect this feature to the broader Breeze ecosystem inside HubSpot. If you want to see how Breeze is expanding across the platform, the April 2026 Breeze update roundup covers exactly that.

Content strategy alignment. Video content doesn't exist in a vacuum. If you're building a content system around your Marketing Hub, the editor supports that system at the production layer. We've written about how Marketing Hub functions as a full operating system, not just a feature menu. This update is more evidence of that.

Key Takeaway

The TikTok audio access is time-sensitive by nature. Trending sounds peak fast. Having the editor inside your social composer means your team can act on a trend in minutes, not hours.

Who Should Care Most

This update matters most to humans in these roles and situations:

  • Social media managers on Marketing Hub Pro or Enterprise who are currently context-switching between HubSpot and CapCut, Descript, or Adobe Express. This collapses your workflow.
  • Small marketing teams where one or two humans wear all the hats. The template feature means you set your brand styles once and reuse them every time.
  • TikTok-focused brands that need trending audio access built into their publishing workflow. Speed to publish on trend-driven content is a real competitive advantage.
  • Marketing ops leaders who care about tool consolidation and portal hygiene. One fewer third-party tool means one fewer integration, one fewer subscription, and one fewer place for file drift.
  • International teams who need caption variants in multiple languages. The Breeze multilanguage tool handles the transcript; your team handles the audio strategy separately.

If you're on Marketing Hub Starter or have Content Hub already, this update doesn't change your access. Content Hub customers have had the editor for a while. Starter customers don't get it yet.

George's Take

Every time HubSpot closes a gap between where content gets made and where it gets published, the excuses for using disconnected tools get smaller. This one closes a big gap for a lot of humans who've been duct-taping their social video workflow together for years.
George B. Thomas

We've audited a lot of portals where Marketing Hub was doing 60% of the job and three external tools were doing the other 40%. The video editor expansion is another step toward that number flipping. What I'd tell any Marketing Hub Pro or Enterprise customer right now: don't evaluate this feature in isolation. Look at your whole content production system and ask where the handoffs are. This editor probably eliminates at least one of them. And if you want to see what the rest of your portal could look like with those gaps closed, we have a portal audit checklist that walks you through exactly that.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the HubSpot video editor available in Marketing Hub Starter?

No. As of April 2026, the video editor is available only to Marketing Hub Professional and Enterprise customers. Marketing Hub Starter customers don't have access. Content Hub customers at any tier already had access to the editor before this expansion.

Do I need a TikTok account connected to use the video editor in HubSpot?

You need a connected TikTok account only to access trending TikTok audio tracks. All other editor features, including trimming, captions, overlays, branding, and aspect ratio changes, are available without a TikTok connection.

Does HubSpot's video editor translate or dub audio into other languages?

No. The Breeze multilanguage tool creates translated caption and transcript variants in other languages, but it doesn't translate or dub the spoken audio itself. Each language variant exports as a separate video file with the translated captions overlaid.

Where do edited videos get saved after I export them in HubSpot?

Exported videos save as new files in your HubSpot Files library. They don't overwrite the original. HubSpot sends you an email notification when the export is complete. You can then use the file in social posts, landing pages, or emails.

Can I use the HubSpot video editor from the Social composer directly?

Yes. Open or create a social post in Marketing > Social with a video attached, then click the pencil icon next to the video file. This opens the editor in context, so you can trim, brand, and add audio without losing your place in the social workflow.

What AI tools are available inside the HubSpot video editor?

The editor includes two Breeze AI tools: AI voice isolation, which removes background noise and isolates the speaker's voice, and multilanguage translations, which generates translated transcript and caption variants in other languages. Both are accessible from the Breeze icon in the left sidebar.
