Social Content Agent Moves to Breeze Assistant

November 4, 2026

What This Update Actually Is

HubSpot originally launched the Social Content Agent at UNBOUND 2026. It could create LinkedIn posts in one step. That was useful, but limited.

With this update, the Social Content Agent moves into Breeze Assistant and gets three meaningful additions:

  • Facebook post creation alongside LinkedIn, so you're not limited to one network
  • Bulk creation from a single piece of starter content, like a white paper or blog post, so you can generate a full series of drafts at once
  • A conversational UI inside Breeze Assistant to refine posts before saving them as drafts, so edits happen in plain conversation, not in a form

The agent uses your HubSpot brand voice settings and your company's existing image templates. It also applies learnings from millions of social posts to avoid common AI-sounding patterns and to follow platform best practices, like keeping links out of the post body on LinkedIn.

One important caveat: the agent saves everything as drafts. It doesn't publish automatically. You review and approve before anything goes live.

Why HubSpot Shipped This

Most marketing teams we work with face the same gap. They know they need consistent social content. They don't have time to produce it. And the AI tools they've tried either sound robotic or require hours of setup to get close to on-brand.

Custom AI agents require careful configuration. Even then, they often miss the nuances that make a post sound like your brand. And almost no AI tool understands how individual platforms reward or penalize specific behaviors, like whether a link in the post body will kill your organic reach.

HubSpot's answer is a purpose-built agent that already knows these things. It pulls your brand voice from your account settings, reads your existing content performance, and applies platform-specific intelligence out of the box. No configuration sprint required.

How to Use It Step by Step

Before you start, confirm a Super Admin has enabled the following in AI Settings: generative AI tools and features, Files data, and Breeze Assistant access. You'll also need HubSpot Credits, since content agent consumes credits for each piece of content it generates.

  1. Navigate to Marketing, then select Social from the main navigation.
  2. Click the Create dropdown button, then choose Create with AI. This opens Breeze Assistant in the social context.
  3. Tell Breeze what you need. You have three main options: ask it to plan a series of posts, brainstorm post topic ideas, or paste a URL or upload a document like a white paper or blog post and ask it to create one or more LinkedIn and Facebook posts from that content.
  4. If you're generating multiple posts, Breeze shows a preview table with your post and media outline. Review the outline before you submit.
  5. Submit the outline. HubSpot generates the full content and media where possible, then saves everything as drafts.
  6. Use the conversational UI inside Breeze Assistant to refine any post before you finalize it. Ask Breeze to adjust the tone, shorten the copy, or change the call to action.
  7. Review the saved drafts in your Social tool and schedule or publish as normal.

What It Touches in Your HubSpot Strategy

This update sits inside Marketing Hub, but it connects to more than just the Social tool. Here's where the ripple effects show up.

Brand Voice Settings. The Social Content Agent pulls from your brand voice configuration. If you haven't set that up yet, the output will be more generic. Getting your brand voice dialed in first is the highest-leverage thing you can do before using this feature. If you're curious how HubSpot now builds brand voice automatically, check out our breakdown of the automatic brand voice setup update.

If you haven't set up brand voice yet, our article on automatic brand voice setup in HubSpot walks through exactly how HubSpot builds it from your existing content.

Key Takeaway

Brand voice settings are the engine behind Social Content Agent output. The better your brand voice configuration, the less editing your team will do after generation.

AEO Recommendations. Content agent is also available from AEO recommendations inside HubSpot. If AEO surfaces a content opportunity, you can use content agent to draft a LinkedIn post directly from that recommendation. That creates a tighter loop between your answer engine strategy and your social publishing cadence.

If AEO is new to you, our Answer Engine Optimization guide covers how the recommendation engine works and where social fits into an AEO-first content strategy.

Marketing Studio and Campaign Assets. Content agent isn't limited to the social tool. It also works inside Marketing Studio for campaign asset creation, including blog posts, landing pages, and social posts in one workflow. If you're running campaigns, this is where the bulk creation capability becomes especially powerful.

Social Calendar. Drafts created by the Social Content Agent drop directly into your HubSpot Social tool and appear on your social calendar. If you're also pulling in external posts to your social calendar, all of this becomes one unified view of your social activity.

See how viewing external social posts on the HubSpot social calendar pairs with AI-generated drafts to give your team a complete picture of what's going out and when.

HubSpot Credits. Every piece of content the agent generates consumes HubSpot Credits. That includes each individual social post in a bulk batch. If you're generating a 10-post series from a white paper, that's 10 credits. Plan your usage accordingly and check the HubSpot Product and Services Catalog for current credit costs.

Key Takeaway

Bulk creation is powerful, but credits are consumed per post. Run a pilot batch before committing to large-scale generation so you can calibrate quality against credit spend.

Who Should Care Most

This update is most valuable for a specific set of humans. Here's who should move fastest on it.

  • Marketing managers at growing companies who own social publishing but don't have a dedicated social team. Bulk creation from a blog post or white paper turns one asset into a week's worth of posts.
  • Content strategists who want to repurpose long-form content without rewriting everything manually. Feed a white paper in, get LinkedIn and Facebook drafts out.
  • Marketing ops leaders who want social content generation inside HubSpot instead of a separate AI tool. Fewer tabs, fewer handoffs, one source of truth.
  • Agency teams managing social for multiple clients in HubSpot portals. The conversational editor makes client-specific adjustments fast without starting from scratch.

You'll need Marketing Hub Professional or Enterprise. Free and Starter accounts don't have access to this feature.

George's Take

What excites me most about this update isn't the AI itself. It's the design decision behind it. HubSpot built a purpose-trained agent instead of a general one, and that matters. We've watched so many humans set up custom AI agents, pour hours into brand context prompts, and still get output that sounds like every other company's AI. The Social Content Agent sidesteps that whole problem by being trained on platform behavior, not just language. It knows that a LinkedIn post with a link in the body performs worse. It knows what makes content feel native to a feed. That's the difference between AI that's fast and AI that actually helps you flourish.

“The Social Content Agent isn't just faster social creation. It's the first time I've seen an AI tool that understands platform behavior well enough to protect your reach, not just fill your draft queue.”
— George B. Thomas

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the HubSpot Social Content Agent?

The HubSpot Social Content Agent is an AI tool inside Breeze Assistant that creates LinkedIn and Facebook posts in your brand's voice. It can generate a single post or a bulk series from starter content like a blog post or white paper. All output is saved as drafts for your review before publishing. It's available to Marketing Hub Professional and Enterprise customers.

How do I access the Social Content Agent in HubSpot?

Go to Marketing, then Social. Click the Create dropdown and select Create with AI. This opens Breeze Assistant in the social context, where you can ask it to plan a post series, brainstorm topics, or generate posts from a piece of existing content. A Super Admin must enable generative AI features and Breeze Assistant in your AI Settings first.

Does HubSpot's Social Content Agent publish posts automatically?

No. The Social Content Agent saves all generated content as drafts. You review and approve each post before anything is scheduled or published. This applies to both single posts and bulk-generated series. The conversational editor inside Breeze Assistant lets you refine drafts before saving.

What networks does the Social Content Agent support?

As of November 2026, the Social Content Agent supports LinkedIn and Facebook post creation. LinkedIn support launched at UNBOUND 2026. Facebook support was added when the agent moved into Breeze Assistant. HubSpot generates both copy and images where possible, using your company's own image templates.

Does the Social Content Agent use HubSpot Credits?

Yes. Content agent consumes HubSpot Credits each time it generates a piece of content. In a bulk batch, each individual post counts as one credit consumption. Credits are used regardless of which HubSpot tool you use to access content agent. Check the HubSpot Product and Services Catalog for current credit costs before running large batches.

What's the difference between the Social Content Agent and a custom AI agent in HubSpot?

A custom AI agent requires manual configuration of brand context and doesn't have built-in knowledge of social platform behavior. The Social Content Agent is purpose-trained on millions of social posts and understands platform-specific factors like link placement, timing, and content norms. It works in your brand voice from day one with no setup required.
