Wake Up Your HubSpot Portal: New Features You Can't Sleep On!

Good morning, HubSpot Nation! We're here to help you discover the platform value you already own, because HubSpot's constantly rolling out updates that can transform your business. You don't want to miss these powerful new features that'll make your life easier and your data cleaner. Let's dive in!

Supercharge Your Salesforce Sync with Company Object Updates

If you're juggling both HubSpot and Salesforce, you know the struggle of keeping your data perfectly aligned. Well, get ready for a game-changer! HubSpot's updated company object sync between HubSpot and Salesforce is here to bring greater accuracy and reliability to your CRM records.

  • What's New: This update includes powerful deduplication features and, for the first time, new support for merging company objects. That's huge!
  • Why It Matters to You: You'll maintain pristine accuracy and reliable CRM records across both platforms. This update strengthens your data integrity and streamlines operations, cutting down on manual cleanup and ensuring your sales and marketing teams are always working with the most up-to-date information. Think of the time you'll save and the headaches you'll avoid!

This is a big one, especially considering HubSpot's roots in integrating with Salesforce. The ability to merge company objects means you've got more control than ever over your connected data. It's a huge step forward for anyone managing customer relationships across these two critical systems.

Breeze Through Property Creation with Natural Language Validation

Creating custom properties can be a real time-suck, especially when you're trying to set up precise validation rules. But what if you could just tell HubSpot what you need, and it builds it for you? Enter Breeze, now with property validation using natural language prompts!

  • What's New: Breeze can now create custom properties with validation rules using simple, natural language prompts. You can describe the property you need, including validation and formatting rules, and Breeze generates it automatically.
  • Why It Matters to You: Setting up validation rules used to be a technical, time-consuming task. Now, you can ensure clean CRM data without manual configuration, reducing data entry errors and maintaining consistent validation across your database. Imagine saying, "I need a percentage property where the value should be between 0 and 100 and allow up to two decimal places," and HubSpot just makes it happen!

This is a massive leap for data hygiene. You'll ensure your team is collecting the right data, in the right format, every single time. It's all about making HubSpot work smarter for you, even if you're not a developer. Just remember to be clear about your data model; for instance, if a human can be both "bronze" and "gold," you wouldn't want a single-select dropdown.

Seamless Calling with the HubSpot Chrome Extension

Tired of juggling multiple browser windows just to make or receive calls in HubSpot? Good news! The HubSpot Chrome extension now supports calling directly.

  • What's New: The Chrome extension now supports select third-party calling users in addition to first-party users, expanding its availability. HubSpot calling users can now manage their calling connection through the Chrome extension.
  • Why It Matters to You: Previously, you needed to keep a separate calling window open to receive inbound calls or make outbound calls using the dialer. This update removes that friction by maintaining the calling connection seamlessly in the background through the Chrome extension. You'll enjoy a more integrated and efficient workflow, keeping your focus where it belongs: on your conversations.

This is a fantastic quality-of-life improvement for any human who spends time on the phone. It's all about reducing friction and helping you stay productive. No more hunting for that separate calling window!

Master Your Marketing Events with Enhanced Participant Management

Accurate event participation data is gold for effective marketing segmentation and follow-up. HubSpot's making it easier than ever to manage your event attendees.

  • What's New: You can now update contact registration and participation status for marketing events directly from the contact record in HubSpot.
  • Why It Matters to You: You'll easily update this information without time-consuming imports, allowing you to segment contacts based on their attendance record before, during, and after events. You can maintain up-to-date registration statuses like "registered," "canceled," "attended," and "no show," and significantly improve the accuracy of your marketing and sales reporting. This means more targeted follow-ups and better ROI tracking for your events.

Important Note: While this is a huge step forward, there are a couple of things to remember. You cannot update the participation status if it is already set to "attended," and you cannot manually set a contact's participation status to "no show" (this is set automatically). But even with these caveats, the added flexibility is a major win for event marketers. If you're still managing events in spreadsheets, it's time to bring that data into HubSpot and unlock its true potential!

Gain Control Over Your Calendar Sync: The Never Log Option for Meetings

Calendar sync is incredibly powerful, but sometimes you don't want every single meeting showing up in HubSpot. Whether it's internal meetings, HR discussions, or just personal appointments, you now have more control.

  • What's New: The "never log" setting in HubSpot now applies to meeting activities. Your never log list will now exclude both email and meeting activities from appearing in HubSpot for specified email addresses and domains.
  • Why It Matters to You: Previously, calendar sync was an all-or-nothing setting. Now, you have the flexibility to turn on calendar sync with the reassurance that you can define specific email addresses and domains whose meetings should not sync into HubSpot. This helps you keep your CRM data clean and focused on client-facing interactions, without cluttering it with internal discussions.

This update allows you to be more strategic about what data enters your CRM. Imagine wanting to track all client calls but excluding your weekly team syncs. This is how you do it! Just be aware of the nuances:

  • If there are recipients on an email or contacts on a meeting who are not on the never log list, HubSpot will still log emails and meetings to those contact records.
  • The never log list only applies to meetings created through calendar sync from your connected calendar. Meetings created directly in HubSpot or via HubSpot scheduling pages will still appear.
  • If multiple HubSpot users are on a meeting, the owner of that meeting in HubSpot controls the never log logic.

This feature empowers you to refine your CRM data, making it more relevant for reporting and analysis.

Expand Your Quoting Power with Custom Object Associations

Quotes are critical for closing deals, and now you can link them to more than just companies and deals. Get ready to associate quotes with custom objects!

  • What's New: You can now associate quotes with custom objects. For example, if you create a "car" custom object, each quote can be linked to a specific car model or trim, ensuring the quote reflects the correct configuration.
  • Why It Matters to You: By linking quotes to a custom object, you keep everything in one place, making it easy to reference quotes directly from the object and ensuring accurate reporting. This is incredibly powerful for businesses with complex products or services that benefit from custom object organization. You'll have a 360-degree view of your quotes in the context of your unique business processes.

This is a fantastic enhancement for businesses that rely heavily on custom objects to manage their unique data models. It brings a new level of organization and reporting capability to your quoting process.

Experience the Power of Customer Agent with 28-Day Free Access

If you haven't tried HubSpot's Customer Agent yet, now's your chance, risk-free! This AI-powered tool is getting incredibly sophisticated, and HubSpot wants you to experience it firsthand.

  • What's New: You now get 28 days of free access to Customer Agent, starting when you deploy the agent. This allows you to test it in real-world scenarios without using paid credits.
  • Why It Matters to You: You can now evaluate the Customer Agent without burning through credits, addressing common concerns about its value and configuration. This 28-day free access lets you experience the agent's benefits firsthand, validate its effectiveness for your specific needs, and make an informed decision about adoption. Seriously, if you're not using it, you should be!

This is a no-brainer. HubSpot's practically begging you to try it because they know how impactful it can be. It's gotten so good with all the recent additions that it's quickly becoming an essential tool for many businesses. Just go to product updates, filter by betas, and start turning on those Customer Agent features!

Eligibility Criteria:

  • All humans who have not yet deployed Customer Agent on a channel are eligible for a single 28-day trial.
  • If you are actively using the Customer Agent, you are not eligible for a trial.
  • Demo portals and accounts created prior to March 5th, 2024, that haven't yet migrated to the seats-based pricing model are not eligible to opt into the free trial, primarily because you won't have access to credits in that model.

Don't sleep on this opportunity! Dive in and see how Customer Agent can revolutionize your customer service.
